Keeping up with Ramadan e-commerce boom
February 05, 2025 00:00:00
Ramadan is Bangladesh's Black Friday or the festival shopping season! People will be gravitating to e-commerce sites such as Daraz, Chaldal, Pickaboo, and PriyoShop for the best bargains on iftar munchies and Eid attires. Online businesses will witness a sales surge as a result of discounted flash deals, midnight buying sprees, and rapid shipping options.
Traditional brick-and-mortar retailers are also embracing the digital evolution, selling through Facebook Lives, Instagram, TikTok, etc. Entrepreneurs will be cashing in by arranging Ramadan-themed food boxes, customised clothes, and home decor that can all be purchased with a tap on your smartphone. Payment flexibility, such as digital wallets and EMI alternatives, will also be inflating online shopping.
Bangladesh's e-commerce business is flourishing like never before, as buyers avoid the rigour of Dhaka's packed malls. As Ramadan shopping habits shift, one thing remains constant: whether it is groceries or gorgeous Eid apparel, consumers now prefer to click rather than crowd!
