Leadership in community work

Most of the people do not know about community work and how community work relates to leadership. Community work involves work done by community-based non-profit or not-for-profit organisations, whether they are incorporated or not.
It is important to note that both employed staff and unpaid volunteers do community work. Promoting social justice and maximising human potential are cornerstones of community work. It also seeks to actively engage communities in making sense of the issues. Community work development help communities to bring about social changes and improve the quality of life in a particular local area. It can be individuals, families and as well as whole communities.
Leaders can influence community workers to improve their assets, needs, opportunities, rights and responsibilities. They also develop activities and services to generate aspiration and confidence. This work is mainly project-based and so the leader should focus on specific geographical community or social group.
A leader can change our society and community rapidly. If everybody wants to develop a community by getting involved in social work or similar other things it can be easier to solve any problem. It is not possible for the government alone to help a community grow and in that case a leader can play an important role. Everybody should, therefore, come forward and develop their leadership mentality and help the society.
