Leadership qualities

Leadership means a leader who has hosts of followers for his/her qualities of head and heart. Leadership has always been  difficult to define as leadership and management are often interchangeable. Greater confusion is caused by other terminologies like power, authority, management, supervision etc. Though leaders have bold visions and ambitious goals, they also have the ability to communicate in a way that inspires others to act. They appeal to people's emotions using images, stories, metaphors, and other ways that make people to get into the act. They involve others in order to give people a sense of ownership and control. They will be creating core values, strengths, and beliefs to their work. They pay attention, listen, ask questions, and make everyone feel like they are being heard and valued. When they speak, they command attention of everyone. They admit their own mistakes and do not make excuses and blame others. They have the ability to balance optimism, passion with confidence, without ignoring reality. Leaders set bold visions, audacious goals, and never take their eyes off the ball. They are relentless in achieving goals, celebrate success and help everyone feel like winners. A leader should be like Bangabandhu who was the most successful and powerful leader in our country.
