Let culprits be punished

Reports of incidents of rape, repression of women and stalking are frustrating and, of course, a shame for us all. A girl was killed near Dhaka and another girl with disability was raped in hill region. The rape of a Dhaka University student in Kurmitola months back is still in people's memory. The latest case is the rape of a housewife at Sylhet MC College that got public attention.
We need to ask questions how these perpetrators think about doing such heinous crimes, let alone doing it. Some of them were said to be powerful and they had feeling that they would not face any punishment. Now, we need to demystify the myth to ensure that criminals would be brought to book, no matter how powerful they are today.
