Let us lead an active & healthy life

Due to our hectic urban life we get very little time for any kind of physical exercise, but in the long run our sedentary lifestyle is creating negative impact on our life and its quality, and also encouraging our children to lead a sedentary life. We should include some rigorous physical activities in our day to day life. Regular exercises and physical activities offer a lot of good to us like exercises help control weight, improve mood, boost energy, reduce stress, increase concentration power, promote better sleep and encourage us to lead a healthy life. We can, through regular workouts, take out a lot more from our life.

We need to devote half an hour from our life daily for workouts and we can enjoy benefits immensely. I think students should be encouraged to be active in their life and they should know the benefits of being active in life. Due to lack of open space in Dhaka we cannot run or walk briskly. Children are seen to be spending most of their time in indoors playing computer games and watching TV which negatively affect their overall health. I hope, the government will create awareness among the common people through various campaigns with the help of visual and print media which will encourage people to lead an active life especially for those who live in cities.
