Let us make our city clean and green

 The Dhaka city dwellers are waiting to see some positive changes as there are now two elected Mayors. Both the mayors are known to be of clean image and I am hopeful that they will bring some positive changes in the lives of the citizens, changes they will be able to see and feel. Both the mayors should take up a campaign to make Dhaka clean and green. Dhaka is one of the most unclean and most unliveable cities of the world. No one can be specifically blamed for this as it is the combined responsibility of all of us to keep our city clean. We never throw litter in our house, so why should we do it outside and make the environment dirty. We should consider the city as our own house and refrain from random littering. Even the educated citizens are found littering here and there indiscriminately. I am sure if the mayors take positive steps to make our city clean then it will encourage the citizens to play their part also. Particularly the students of educational institutions should be taught about the importance of cleanliness as it is critically required for sound mental and physical health. We must create awareness accordingly among our children so that they too can play their part in making and keeping our city green and clean.
