Let\\\'s teach our children right values

The murder case against Oishee Rahman of killing her parents has opened a dark chapter of our modern society. It depicts how we are gradually moving away from our cultural and religious values that eat away the moral fibre of our society. The parents are running after money with a wrong notion that they would buy happiness with much money and make their life full of comfort and luxury leaving all the good, cherished values like honesty, hard work, and patriotism far behind. They forget with dishonest earnings they cannot expect their children to be good human beings. Children learn what their parents do. If the parents resort to unscrupulous ways, the children are likely to follow the same path. Due to the advent of computer technology, internet and cable TV, the western culture is influence our children who are unable to judge its good and bad sides. Today's parents need to be a role model for their children and they should act and behave the way they want their children to be. So, we must shun the path of dishonesty and crookedness so that our children also can choose the right path.
