Maintaining cleanliness in schools
August 16, 2022 00:00:00
School buildings and campus facilities are subject to daily wear and tear. Cafeterias, washrooms, classrooms - the list of areas that needs to be cleaned on campus is long. Hundreds of students, their guardians and teachers visit campuses every day and throw away rubbish here and there. Although many schools have garbage bins placed in certain places, only a few people use those.
Schools are designed for teaching and learning. Cleanliness is the key component of a healthy learning environment. Keeping school buildings, floors and facilities clean is essential for the positive image of any institution. A recent study has shown that students' success is directly tied to the maintenance and cleanliness of their learning environment. Ensuring a well-maintained school environment is not only conducive to productivity; it also increases the likelihood of attracting more students. So, we urge the authorities concerned to look into this issue sincerely and conduct cleanliness drives regularly in every educational institution.
