Making Eid holidaymakers' journey safe
April 14, 2022 00:00:00
Spending Eid holidays with near and dear ones has been a tradition in Bangladesh. And every year, we witness a mad rush of people towards their hometowns on the eve of Eid. The sufferings on their way home are sometimes unbearable. Apart from being unusually delayed due to traffic congestions, there are other hassles, too. Their troubles begin with purchasing of transport tickets at inflated prices, followed by dreadful accidents and hassles. Trains, buses and all sorts of water transports are overloaded by an excessive number of passengers.
We would like to hope that this year the authorities concerned will take all necessary preparations so that home-bound people's Eid journey becomes safer, smoother and more hassle-free.
