Medical representatives in hospitals

May 12, 2026 00:00:00

For many years, medical representatives have had too much access in government hospitals. They often try to influence doctors to prescribe medicines produced by their companies. Now, this problem is also growing in private hospitals.

Recently, it has been observed that in some private hospitals, including Farazy Hospital, medical representatives can enter easily. Hospitals are places for patient care, so such free entry can disturb the environment and create doubts about fair treatment. Doctors should choose medicines based only on the patients' needs.

Sometimes, patients have to buy costly and unnecessary medicines. This puts financial pressure on them and goes against medical ethics. Private hospitals speak about good service and professionalism. So, this kind of influence should not be allowed. There should be clear rules and strong monitoring to control the entry of medical representatives.

We hope the authorities will take quick steps to ensure fair and ethical healthcare for all.
