Middle East crisis

The escalation of the Middle East crisis reflects the failure of diplomacy in the region and the stubbornness of the Israeli government. The asymmetrical nature of this conflict is immense cause for concern in the realm of global politics. The failure of the United States and other powers, who have strategic interests in the region, has highlighted their waning influence through lacklustre efforts. It is time for the western powers to step up and increase pressure on Israel through boycotts and sanctions in a similar manner in which it did with Iran.
