KATMANDU, Nepal, Nov 01 (AP): Police in Nepal say they have detained more than 100 Tibetan exiles who were protesting against Chinese rule over their homeland.
The Tibetan protesters who had gathered for a prayer meeting on the outskirts of Katmandu Tuesday started chanting anti-China slogans.
Police detained the protesters and took them away in trucks to detention centres.
There have been several similar protests in the past in Nepal. The police generally don't charge the protesters and they are soon released.
