Need for proper female hygiene products

January 26, 2025 00:00:00

The female hygiene product market is growing rapidly, with increasing awareness about menstrual health and hygiene. Globally, companies are expanding their product lines to include innovative and eco-friendly solutions. However, in countries like Bangladesh, the market is still dominated by traditional sanitary napkins, which are widely used due to their affordability and accessibility. Despite the growing demand, the quality and safety of many of these products remain questionable.

Sanitary napkins produced in Bangladesh often lack proper quality control and are made from low-grade materials, including chemically treated bleached cotton and plastic. These materials can lead to severe health issues such as rashes, infections, and even long-term complications like reproductive problems. The lack of regulation and awareness exacerbates the problem, leaving many women at risk of using products that compromise their health.

In this context, menstrual cups emerge as a safer, healthier, and eco-friendly alternative. Made from medical-grade silicone, these cups are free from harmful chemicals and can be reused for years, significantly reducing health risks and environmental waste. Promoting menstrual cups can revolutionise menstrual health, prioritising both safety and sustainability.
