Once again the Sundarbans shield

Cyclone Aphan didn't cause as much damage as was apprehended in the coastal districts thanks to the Sundarbans that protected the coastal people like a shield. It did the same during the Sidr and many other cyclones that caused severe damage in areas not covered by the world's largest mangrove forest in Bangladesh. Environmentalists call the Sundarbans Nature's wall, a blessing for the country and its people. We need to take care of this forest and ensure that it is not damaged by man-made activities.
