Online bus tickets

I am very glad to learn that from now on we can book bus tickets from the comfort of our homes or offices. Getting a long-haul bus ticket is very troublesome as one has to go to the designated ticket-counter to book a ticket, which may cost 2-3 hours' journey and also a fare to cover the distance.

Due to the perennial traffic gridlock in Dhaka, even a small job like booking bus tickets has become time-consuming and full of hassles. Now I can book my bus tickets with my debit or credit card. I can even book tickets using my mobile banking account. All this sounds too good to be true.

Computers and the internet have brought about revolutionary changes in our life and in the way we live in a city. We must use the gadgets to our advantage. The government can use the internet technology at its offices so that we see less bureaucratic tangles there.

Common people can track down their files and will be able to know where those are lying. Bus ticket booking has now been made easier and it will encourage many people to travel more frequently.

I hope the railway ministry will also make the job of getting railway tickets easier, as online ticket sales will get rid of ticket racketeers. It will spare clients of agonising hassles and make their journey comfortable and enjoyable.
