Pakistan braces for protests as Facebook anger grows

LAHORE, May 21 (AFP): Thousands of Pakistanis were expected to take to the streets Friday to vent growing anger against Facebook and the West over 'sacrilegious' caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed on the Internet.
A Facebook user organised an "Everyone Draw Mohammed Day" competition to promote "freedom of expression", inspired by an American woman cartoonist, but sparked a major backlash in the conservative Muslim country of 170 million.
