The Tigers are passing through hard times and their tour of the West Indies (WI) is not an easy one. Every team from the sub-continent struggles there, as the pitches of WI are live, bouncy and fast, with which the batsmen are not familiar in their countries. We are no exception.
India is also struggling with England and the former is now under fire from their critics at home and abroad. I hope the Tigers will be able to keep their calm as fear will only hasten their downfall. The Tigers will play two test matches and those will be a real 'test' of their mental strength.
In test-playing, a team needs to be consistent which is sorely missing in our cricket team. The Bangladeshi batsmen need to emerge with more determination and courage. Rash shots are not at all desired. The cricket-loving people are eager to see a much-awaited victory as they have not seen any success over a long time. Captain, Musfiqur Rahim, has blamed batsmen for the debacle in the first two one-day matches. The Bangladeshi bowlers played well, and were very effective in restricting the West Indies within a reasonable total.
I hope the batsmen will raise their performance and bring the much-needed cheers for the cricket fans in the country.
