PM\\\'s noble gesture to actor Khalil

It is indeed heartening to know that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken the responsibility of treatment of ailing celebrated actor Khalil. I have grown up watching the acting of powerful actor Khalil. He adorned all kinds of role. There was a time when Khalil was an indispensable personality in the Bangladesh film industry. It is sad that artists like Khalil are not properly evaluated; and during the old age many of them spend difficult times. Khalil appeared in numerous movies and TV dramas. For the last several years this veteran actor has been totally detached from movies, and it was a loss for Bangla cinema. My heartfelt thanks to the PM for her noble gesture and I am glad to know that she also tries to reach out to artistes of old age who are insolvent and unable to get proper treatment.
