Political stalemate must end immediately

March 05, 2015 00:00:00

No matter how hard the ruling party tries to establish peace by force, they will fail to achieve it and their failed attempt to establish peace by force in the recent past amply testifies to this. The ruling party should immediately sit with the main opposition and bring peace in the society. The opposition should take initiative and meet the prime minister to end the current political stalemate. The common men are fed up with this prolonged ongoing political situation and they want relief from it. No one has the right to jeopardize the life and livelihood of the people by paralysing the whole economy. Already the UN has appealed to both parties to bring an amicable solution and our important development partners are also urging in the same way. The ruling party must remember that we cannot remain isolated from the rest of the world and we must establish peace and human rights in our country if we want good relations with the outside world. The world is moving forward quickly, and we are squabbling among ourselves on petty matters. I believe, if the ruling party wants, it can break this political stalemate in no time. For this, all that is needed is to put the country's interest ahead of party interest.
