Due to the ongoing political unrest, the country's transport sector has gone haywire and the commuters are the helpless victims of the situation. It seems, no one bother about the sufferings of the commuters. The other day I had to go to north Bengal for a personal work and I had to face extreme difficulty to reach there and come back home in the capital. The passengers of the bus passed an anxious time during the whole journey and it was indeed unnerving. An uncanny feeling of insecurity and fear pervades, particularly for the long distance travelers.
No inter-district buses ply from one place to another at night. As a matter of fact people travel from one district to another when it is unavoidable. Business is also being badly affected due to transportation difficulties. I only wish that our leaders will salvage us from this uncertainty and insecurity and bring back peace in society. One party blaming other for the current situation is actually pushing the solution father away. Foreign diplomats and the UN are trying their best for a reconciliation. If our leaders have an iota of patriotism left in them, they will settle for peace talks and give democracy a chance to rule. I think the common people have endured enough and they want this unrest to come to an end immediately.
