More than 10 million people have gone below to the poverty level for income erosion during the coronavirus pandemic. Studies also say a lot of middle class people have lost their income and livelihoods due to economic fallouts of the global health crisis. Excepting a few sectors, there are hardly any opportunities that can help people to overcome the economic challenges.
But, the cost of living has come decreased, rather an increased as prices of essential commodities have made lives of many people miserable. Prices of coarse rice, potato and onion have all risen alarmingly in recent times. The government's schemes to support them during the pandemic were appreciable although allegations of corruption and mismanagement were there. In such circumstances, the authorities concerned should devise a few stimulus packages for their relief, rehabilitation, new opportunities andincreasein productivity.
