Price of rawhide

EID-Ul-Adha is not far away. During this sacrificial Eid, a significant number of cattle will be sacrificed, as in previous years. According to Islamic law, the price of rawhide is meant to benefit the poor and needy. However, in recent Eids, the prices of rawhide have been negligible, bordering on being free of cost. Consequently, the poor are being deprived.
It's well understood that leather products command high prices in the market, both domestically and internationally. Each year, we export leather goods to expatriates, earning foreign currency. Given the significant demand for leather goods, both at home and abroad, we propose that the government establish seven tanneries in the seven divisional cities as economic zones for the production and export of leather goods. This initiative can potentially generate more revenue from foreign markets and alleviate unemployment across the country.
We acknowledge that the leather goods' business is lucrative. However, despite the profitability, raw hides fail to obtain fair prices. Therefore, we urge the authorities to address this issue and establish a fair and acceptable price for rawhide in the upcoming Eid.
