Price rise of eggs

All of a sudden, the price of eggs has increased in the local market. Even just before Eid, the price of a dozen of eggs was Tk 80 to 90 but now the eggs are being sold for Tk 100 and more.

The increase in the egg price is creating problems for the fixed-income people as they depend on the eggs to meet the requirement of their daily protein. Eggs are loaded with nutrients. They are a perfect food, which contains almost a bit of every nutrient we need.   Eggs raise the good cholesterol. They are a highly fulfilling food, which tends to make us eat less. I cannot think of my breakfast without eggs.

Eggs are usually cheap, and we can prepare them easily and they are very tasty. We can prepare an egg in many ways suiting to our taste bud.

Poultry farmers are claiming that soon the prices of eggs will come down. I hope it will happen, but in our country we don't usually see the prices of the commodities coming down once they start going up. The authorities concerned must keep an eye on the poultry sector, as an abnormal situation here can affect the family budget of the common people.
