Some newspapers have reported that 46 people--including 36 in Patuakhali district--were arrested for their alleged involvement in question paper leaks during the second phase of government primary school assistant teachers' recruitment test held on May 31 this year. The leaked questions were shared through Facebook messenger nearly an hour to one-and-a-half hour prior to the exam.
There are allegations that questions were also disclosed during first phase of the test, held on May 24 this year.
Due to the hard work and dedication of the government agencies, no incidents of 'question paper leaks' were reported during this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary school Certificate (HSC) examinations.
Similar steps should be taken to ensure that there are no question papers are leaked during the third and fourth phase of the government primary school assistant teachers' recruitment test, scheduled to be held on June 21 and 28. Appointing competent teachers is essential for proper education of the future generations of the country.
