The whole country was shocked and dismayed by the tragic killing of the innocent boy Rajon in Sylhet. He was mercilessly beaten to death by a Saudi expatriate Bangladeshi when he came to Bangladesh for a visit. The Bangladeshi community living in Saudi Arabia caught and handed him over to the Saudi police. We hope the accused will be brought back to Bangladesh soon and tried for his brutal murder. I hope the government will also arrest others who are associated with Rajon murder. Honestly, I could not muster enough mental strength to watch the video of the murder, which was already widely circulated in the social media.
The incident is simply outrageous and inhuman, to say the least. Rajon used to sell vegetables to support his poor family. The accused murderers tortured him to death, accusing him of "theft". It is refreshing to watch that the whole country has now stood behind the family of the victim and is hell bent to seek proper justice. I am sure the murders will be duly tried by the court of law. I hope the offenders will be awarded the highest punishment to set an example for others. I am personally ashamed of the incident as a human being and think that we all should feel the same way.
