Reckless driving

Recently, two day labourers were killed in the capital by a reckless bus driver and it is happening almost every day in our country. We often see reckless driving on the road killing and maiming people. Many such incidents happen in front of the law-enforcing agency members, but hardly any action is taken against the offenders. I think, although late, serious actions should be taken against the drivers responsible for all road accidents.

Thankfully, we are not accustomed to drink driving like the Western world where it is very common. I think the government should accelerate its awareness campaign for road safety on the one hand and enact laws to punish the responsible drivers on the other. When a life is lost in a road accident, a family is in deep trouble. Furthermore, those seriously maimed in an accident are unable to support themselves and become a liability for others.
