Reforming Balrampur High School field

The Balrampur High School Ground, located in the Atwari Upazila of Panchagarh District, is a traditional ground and one of the largest in the Panchagarh district. However, over time, due to various issues such as poor planning, neglect, and misuse, the field has lost its charm. In the past, it was a hub for national-level games and hosted various sports events including cricket and football tournaments. Unfortunately, the field is now deteriorating due to lack of maintenance, unrestricted grazing and excrement of cattle, grass and tree cutting around the field, accumulation of animal waste, soil drying, and the deposition of sand with wheelbarrows.

Consequently, the space for sports and talent development among the local youth, including students, is diminishing, and they are increasingly turning to drug addiction.

Therefore, I urge the administration and relevant authorities to swiftly address these issues and make the ground suitable for playing once again. It is crucial to modernise the facilities and take appropriate steps to facilitate healthy recreational activities for youths.
