Remembering Humanyun Ahmed on his birthday

People remembered their favourite writer Humayun Ahmed on his birth day on November 13. He was not only a novelist but was also a playwright and director. But, above all, I would like to remember him as a creator of timeless novels and unforgettable characters like Himu and Misir Ali. I often reread his novels and relish the charm of his flawless writing. No matter how many times I read his novels, he always mesmerises me and I end up with a yearning to read further. Although he is no more with us psychically, his novels, dramas and  movies shall remain with us forever. Every Bangladeshi adores him. He has profound influence on our life. We should emulate the feats of Humayun Ahmed and encourage our young people to read books and enlighten themselves. Reading is a fast dyeing habit and we should encourage our young generation to read more to learn more. The books of Humayun Ahmed attract readers like a pied piper. Humayun Ahmed surely enriched Bangla literature with his writings and any discussion on modern Bangla literature without mentioning his name shall be incomplete.
