One of the most sustainable modes of transport is bicycle. But riding a bicycle, especially on the city streets, is not smooth and hazard-free. Many cyclists report that they face unexpected aggression from drivers of four-wheelers. They also have to face dangerous situations because of such behaviour. Sometimes, the drivers of cars and buses do not bother hitting cycles and cyclists.
As the world grapples with climate change, there is an immediate need to adopt eco-friendly ways of living. But unless drivers consider the safety of cyclists, it will be difficult for people to safely switch to cycling.
