Many women in our society have to fight for their right to inheritance and property. Although there are laws regarding the issue, the question of their implementation remains. For the reality is different. A number of women are subjected to emotional blackmail and violence, which eventually compels them to forego their inheritance rights. Also, there is a large proportion of the female population who are unaware of the laws.
Therefore, there is a need to raise awareness about women's right to inheritance and property. And they should be offered legal counselling, particularly for women in rural areas. We must remember that safeguarding women's inheritance rights is crucial for both women's empowerment and overall societal progress.
