Salary reduction after training!

After receiving Diploma in Primary Education (DPEd), which is popularly known as PTI training, 282,000 teachers across the country have found that their salaries have decreased, according to a media report. The alleged anomaly was created due to change in grades of teachers and experienced teachers, now with diploma become losers because they started with lower amount. The adjustment in grades has allegedly resulted in reduction of salaries for many teachers.
However, authorities concerned need to apply a creative mind to ensure justice to teachers while making adjustments. Because, reduction in salary can be a demotivating factor and set a bad precedent as well. The teachers took a lot of pains while undergoing training and naturally tthey expected a pay-raise on completion of the training. Remedial measures are expected.
