It will not be an overstatement if I say that the selfie fever has taken the world by a storm. Wherever we go we see people taking their selfie and it is an interesting experience. Particularly young people, no matter where they are, either in a car or a bus, rickshaw or train, everywhere they are seen taking selfie and uploading it in their Facebook accounts. Even the middle aged people are not an exception and it seems everyone is caught up with this new selfie fever. A selfie is a self portrait photograph usually taken by a digital camera or by camera phone. It has brought a new dimension in our everyday life. It is gradually becoming an integral part of our everyday life starting from the President of a country down to a cab driver. Taking photograph once was a big occasion. Nowadays we take pictures every now and then. There are always some people here and there uploading their new pictures after every few hours when they have nothing to do or whenever they get a small break from their work schedule. The cell phone companies have grabbed this opportunity. They are now producing more selfie friendly mobile phones to boost their sales. We often see dignitaries like Presidents and Prime Ministers of many countries taking their selfie and circulating in social networks indicating that busy people like them are also not immune from this selfie fever. I was not at all surprised when I found in the newly released Bollywood blockbuster "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", Salman Khan singing a song composed on selfie and the song has become an instant hit obviously. This selfie fever is not likely to die down soon. It appears that it has come to stay for sometime.
