Mother's milk means the health of a child, and a healthy child means a healthy future generation. Women engage in various activities every day; sometimes they are alone, and sometimes they stay outside for long hours with small children. There are smoking zones, prayer rooms, and canteens in many places, but there is no breastfeeding corner for mothers to feed their children. When a mother goes out, why should she worry so much about breastfeeding? It is the right of every mother and child to receive this facility.
The sad reality is that in this country, there are no breastfeeding corners in most public places, including schools, colleges, shopping malls, hospitals, banks, garment factories, railway stations, or bus stations. Due to the absence of breastfeeding corners, mothers are often forced to avoid breastfeeding in public spaces for fear of "unwanted eyes," which results in physical and mental discomfort. In many cases, mothers are compelled to feed their babies with packaged milk and powdered formula, which can be harmful to a child's health.
Breast milk plays a vital role in a child's development. It supports brain development, strengthens the nervous system, reduces the risk of diarrhoea, and helps prevent diseases such as asthma. It also ensures the healthy development of body organs.
Therefore, it is not only necessary to establish breastfeeding corners, but also to ensure their proper quality so that mothers can breastfeed safely and comfortably. In addition, it is important to develop a gender-sensitive attitude among people in this regard.
