Sexual harrassment at TSC

The nation observed the festival of Pahela Baishakh as usual with lot of enthusiasm and cultural fervour. But stalking and sex assault took place on the same day near TSC at the Suhrawardy Udyan gate in the afternoon. Dozens of female students and/or passers-by became victims on the spot. My question is: how come the incidents are happening at the same place in front of the members of the law-enforcement agencies. Some weeks ago, on February 26, blogger Avijit was killed in the vicinity. There is really no point casting the blame on others. It needs immediate investigation or else it will be forgotten as usual like many other events before. As CCTV is there, the authorities can locate the offenders easily and bring them to justice. Criminals must be identified and punished whatever their status may be. As a student of Victimology and Restorative Justice, I must raise my voice in support of the victims and the government should take drastic action against the offenders/criminals to set an example to stop stalking and sex assault at different places.
