Shameful attack on journalists at RMCH

I was shocked at the attack on journalists by the intern doctors of the Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH). It is indeed a condemnable act and we don't expect such behaviours from doctors. Those studying medical science are certainly meritorious students but when they behave like goons, we feel sad. Why have we become so intolerant a nation? I hope whoever is responsible for this dastardly attack will be identified and made to face dire consequence.
At least 10 journalists were injured and cameras of several TV channels were smashed which is shocking indeed. No one expects such rowdy behaviour from doctors. We have observed a tendency of the professionals, like lawyers or doctors, of resorting to violence and physically attacking others. It is surely very deplorable. Journalists are the conscience of our nation and any attack on them is a direct attack on the freedom of expression and free press. Everyone should make sure the safety of journalists who work in a risky environment. Their works at times irritate many powerful people. It seems vandalism has taken a deep root in our society and we must discard it as it is not a sign of civil society.
