Sick politics and people\\\'s suffering

I fully agree with Dr. Kamal Hossain who said the other day that the politics of our country has become sick and we cannot expect anything positive out of it. Both the major political parties are engaged in a battle of hatred and violence, which has pushed the country on the brink of collapse. Life is becoming increasingly unsafe and insecure with every passing day. We must come out of this dirty and sick political milieu to avoid a total disaster for the country. The common people of our country are tired of a long protracted war of hatred between the two major political alliances of the country. If politics is meant for the people, it must remain healthy in order to help the people live in peace and security.
We are now living in the age of information technology but as we look at our politicians we find that they are living in the mediaeval age. We must place our politics in the intensive care unit so that it can regain its normal shape. Politicians are supposed to work for the betterment of the people. But contrary to all our expectations, politicians in our country are only impeding the progress. Let us hope that we shall soon see an end to the politics of hatred and violence so that we can live in peace and security.
