Sri Lanka wins T-20 World Cup

Yes! Finally, Sri Lanka has cast away the jinx of reaching the finals but not getting the much coveted trophy. Sri Lanka reached the finals four times prior to this T-20 final match. But, unfortunately, every time it failed to smile. This time it came out victorious in Dhaka. Many spectators were disappointed with the final match as it was not a high scoring one and we didn't watch that many fours and sixes. India's 130 was a small total and it seemed not enough to defend when the Lankans came to bat. Initially, rain interrupted the match but it also cooled down the weather making the atmosphere more comfortable for the spectators and the players.
Sri Lanka deserves the victory as it was able to maintain its calm till the end. The Bangladeshi spectators deserve special thanks because they never failed to show their appreciation of good cricket, making the stadium alive with their lively presence. The Bangladesh government also deserves kudos for arranging such a mega event flawlessly which will make Bangladesh a popular destination for big sports events in future.
