Standing by flash flood-hit haor people

People in the flood-affected haor areas are now passing days in untold miseries as many of them have lost their crops to the recent flash floods. Although the overall flood situation has improved, sufferings of haor people continues as they have no means of livelihood to earn their daily bread. With the receding of flood water, various water-borne diseases such as diarrhoea have broken out in the flood-hit areas. Many flood victims are now busy drying up their half-ripen Boro paddy in the sun.

In this situation, we request the authorities concerned to respond to the miseries of flood-hit haor people as soon as possible with a number of aid plans and adequate relief materials.
