Stopping killing of bloggers

Over the last few months several bloggers were brutally murdered. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of Ganajagoron Moncho activist  Shahriar Majumdar, Niloy Chatterji, Muktomona blogger Ananta Bijoy Das and the writer Ashiqur Rahman Babu and Avijit Roy who lost their lives. Before murder, they were threatened for writing on religion and allied issues.

Such targeted murders will not come to an end so easily. The government should realise that it is not enough to react after such murders are committed. It should take proactive measures so that the murderers stay away from committing such an act. People of the country should also rise and stand against the filthy criminals. Everyone should make it clear that violence in the name of religion is unacceptable.
