Streamlining ICT
December 15, 2014 00:00:00
Information Communication Technology (ICT) has been playing a significant role to boost our economy over the years. ICT freelancers of Bangladesh are competing with their counterparts in other countries and are earning more than Tk 10 million a day.
The country has become a huge hub for freelance work via online market place such as o-Desk and we are behind only the Philippines and India. These skilled freelancers are offering their skills to those who need it. But in absence of quicker internet, the country is being deprived of further revenue.
Trainers also need training. According to reliable sources, about 800 companies are leading the ICT sector across the country. If the government and these companies can open together some institutions and appoint university students and skilled freelancers to impart training, the country as a whole will benefit from the move.
