It is learnt that structured, commonly known as creative, questions on math will be introduced in 2015 for the SSC exam. The first thing we need to do for that is to familiarise all concerned with the new system. We have to work in a way so that all teachers and students feel confident enough to handle with creative questions on math particularly for the rural schools.
Sample creative questions should be uploaded on the educational web portals. A hand-out on creative questions should be given to all math teachers and students. Training on creative questions should be arranged round the year across the country simultaneously. Besides, special programmes like Math Olympiad may also help. Newspapers may also carry structured questions for students.
