Summer and importance of taking enough Water

SUMMER is already on and soon we will see mercury going up much higher. Drinking plenty of water is now a necessity. Many of us do not drink enough water every day and intake of lesser water creates many health complications for them. We only know that water is life and we can not survive without water. Not many of us are aware that 65 per cent of our body is made of water. Nearly 95 per cent of our brain is made of water and water constitutes 82 per cent of our blood. Had most of us been familiar with these pieces of information, we could have better knowledge about the indispensability of water in our life.

Water helps maximise our physical performance. If we do not stay hydrated, physical performance can suffer. This is particularly important during intense exercise or high heat. Dehydration can have a noticeable effect if you lose as little as 2.0 per cent of your body's water content.

We need to create awareness about these important features of water and highlight the importance of taking adequate water. If we drink enough water every day, it will bring a lot of positive impacts on our health.
