Sweet victory against the Afghans

Finally the tigers took their much anticipated sweet revenge on the new entrants in cricket, Afghanistan. What a performance by the tigers! They completely outplayed their opponent whose win in the recently concluded Asia cup had upset the whole nation. Usually, I cannot be happy when a match is totally one sided.

Every one of us enjoys a thrilling match but not on that particular day when the tigers play. The win against Afghanistan has brought a relief to the cricket crazy nation as there was an uneasy feeling and fear in the mind of the cricket lovers here after Asia Cup debacle.

Cricket has become a passion and a matter of pride to us. It is the beauty of sports that a win makes us happy, confident, rejuvenated, united and hopeful and a defeat makes us dejected and grumpy. We can learn to accept defeat gracefully, work hard and prepare for next game from sports.

I congratulate the tigers for their emphatic win. They should carry this momentum to the end of the tournament. The support of the home crowd will surely boost the morale of our cricketers.
