Pregnancy is one of the most wonderful events in a couple's life. To raise a healthy baby from a healthy mother, it is imperative that a pregnant woman gets adequate care and attention from her family as well as from health care providers, which is called antenatal care. According to experts, pregnant mothers are required to undergo 14 checkups throughout their pregnancy, but in our country it is mandatory to go for at least four checkups.
Antenatal care is very important for pregnant women. It helps them connect to the health system and prepare them for a safe delivery. This also helps the would-be mothers understand the warning signs during pregnancy and childbirth. Regular antenatal care means women can easily contact their physician or other staff and get proper services. Even so, many pregnant women in our country do not receive proper primary care before and during their childbirth. Still, we have a shortage of skilled antenatal healthcare providers and facilities. If we want to build a healthy future generation, it is important to take special care of all our pregnant women.
