Test victory and ODI challenge
November 19, 2014 00:00:00
It is indeed great to see the Tigers coming back to the winning way against the visiting Zimbabwe, although I expect them to win against the big opponents often and instead of their usual meek surrender. Bangladesh will play their next World Cup, which will be held in 215, with a more positive frame of mind and aggression. It has always been a better team than their results showed in the past.
Shakib has been back with the Tigers during the Zimbabwe series and showed why he is the most valuable player of Bangladesh. He not only plays all round cricket exceptionally well, but also inspires his team mates to perform better. From 21st November the Tigers will start their three one-day match series against Zimbabwe and they are expected to win the series comfortably. On the other hand, Zimbabwe will be desperate to stage a comeback after their test debacle. Hence the Tigers should be very alert so that nothing unwanted happens. It is a good start for the Tigers and I hope they will continue their good work in 2015 too. By whitewashing Zimbabwe the Tigers ended their losing streak which is very heartening.
