The IPL magic

The Indian Premier League has stolen the attention of the cricket lovers of our country. The presence of Shakib pushed the barometer further up. Shakib has not played many IPL matches in this season as he was busy with the national team playing home series against Pakistan. We see sports loving people throng before TV sets in markets and clubs to watch IPL matches. IPL has all the elements of super entertainment. Star cricketers of all Test playing nations (with the exception of Pakistan) have added a new dimension to the tournament over the last few years.

No other tournament in the world (except ICC organized ones) is or has ever been able to gather so many star cricketers from around the world under one umbrella. The IPL is indeed a star-studded affair. The presence of Indian movie icons on the spectators' gallery has made the tournament more glamorous. Although I do not find the logic behind keeping skimpy clothed cheer leaders. This is IPL's 8th edition and the reputation of the tournament is increasing with each passing year. The final of the IPL is only one week away. Kolkata Knight Riders failed to qualify for the next round which has broken the hearts of the millions of KKR fans. We hope, the KKR will bounce back next year and fulfil the expectations of their fans and win the IPL cup once again.
