The Tigers march on
November 28, 2014 00:00:00
The Tigers have won the third one-day international against their lacklustre opponents Zimbabwe without much problem. It seems the Tigers' opponent is not the visiting team, but rather they are guarding themselves against being over overconfidence or complacence. Sill two more matches to go and Bangladesh will be eager to continue their victory march. This series against the Zimbabwe has come at the right time. Just before the World Cup Cricket the Tigers needed some moral boosting performances and till now, they have delivered exactly what was needed.
Tamim Iqbal and Anamul gave a flying start to the Tigers' innings. Shakib also played well in the middle of the innings and gave Bangladesh a solid total of 297. Zimbabwe seemed to have lost the match from the beginning. Bangladesh is now looking for a white wash in the one-day series as well. I expected Zimbabwe to be more competitive as the fans want to see some contest which was sorely missing so far. As a Tiger fan I hope the Bangladesh national cricket team will continue their good run in the future also, especially in the next World Cup which is round the corner.
