The Bangladesh Cricket Board has already announced the names of 30 players for the Cricket World Cup 2015 and the final squad will be selected from among these cricketers. The WC is scheduled to begin on February 15 in New Zealand and Australia. The final squad of 15 members is likely to be announced in the first week of January 2015.
The whole country is looking forward to the World Cup to start and the mega event has already generated huge enthusiasm in those parts of the world where cricket is played and loved. I hope, the BCB selectors will select the best possible team.
Since pitches are fast and bouncy in Australia and New Zealand, priority should be given to pace bowlers. The Tigers are in a good shape after emphatically outplaying Zimbabwe, but there is hardly any scope for complacence.
They will play some warm-up matches against Pakistan and Ireland before the World Cup commences, which will give them a chance to acclimatise themselves with the conditions of Australia and New Zealand. The sport-loving people of our country expect the Tigers will put in their best and prove to the world that they are no longer the minnows of world cricket. Good luck, Tigers.
