Tigers\\\' maiden ODI win in 2014

November 23, 2014 00:00:00

Shakib al Hasan has admirably guided Bangladesh to the port of victory in a One Day International (ODI) after a long time and suddenly the year 2014 is shining brightly for Bangladesh cricket. Prior to the Zimbabwe series, everything seemed bleak and dark.   Shakib has proved himself time and again a lucky winner for the Bangladesh National cricket team. I was glad to see the Tigers starting their One Day series with an emphatic win against their lacklustre opponent Zimbabwe. The people of Chittagong, who went to the stadium, were ecstatic at the spirited performance of the Tigers and so were those who watched it on TV.  Shakib's century and four wicket haul made the way for a comfortable victory. Skipper Mushfiq also played well, scored a brisk fifty and took a spectacular catch behind the stumps. A victory really inspires the whole team to play well and work hard. I am glad that Bangladesh has ended their losing patch and get back into winning streak and I hope they will continue their good run in the upcoming world cup cricket which is not far away.  Well done Tigers, and good luck!
