The Tigers have left Bangladesh for their much-anticipated West Indies tour but without their ace cricketer Shakib Al-Hasan, who is banned from playing for six months. Bangladesh toured West Indies last time in 2009. The current tour will be a big test for them to play in the live and bouncy wicket of West Indies.
The Indian cricket team is struggling with the English conditions. If we want to win abroad we need to create live and bouncy pitches in Bangladesh. In our country the cricket pitches are listless and offer no fair opportunity for the fast bowlers; so we do not see good fast bowlers coming up. If we do not have quality fast bowlers, then we have almost no chance to win matches out of the subcontinent. We are eager to see the Tigers in action although I will miss the magical presence of Shakib; but I am optimistic the other players will take it as an opportunity and show their talents and apply them well. The Tigers will play three ODI, two Tests and one twenty-twenty match. The captain Mushfiqur Rahim will try to bring back Bangladesh in winning track after their dismal recent past performance. I hope the Tigers will not disappoint this time and play their best game against their more illustrated opponents, West Indies.
